What should we do if the pressure in the cryogenic storage tanks is too high?

Vertical or horizontal double-layer vacuum insulated storage tanks for storing liquid oxygen, nitrogen, argon, carbon dioxide and other media are called cryogenic storage tanks. Liquid natural gas must be stored in cryogenic storage tanks, which are usually composed of inner and outer tanks, filled with insulating materials.

When designing the low-temperature tank, because the low-temperature medium in the tank has a conductive effect, the foundation soil is prone to freeze swell and cause the soil to bulge, thereby causing foundation damage. In addition to the thermal insulation method, the anti-freezing method should be adopted for the base of the tank. There are two general methods. One is to use electric or other heating systems in the base plate, that is, to make a raft-type base with a circulating heating system. The first method is to use the base plate to be overhead, and to separate the base plate from the foundation soil through the air layer formed by the overhead.

A common problem with cryogenic storage tanks is that the pressure is too high. The vacuum degree and distribution method of the equipment itself, and the improper dosage when using the cryogenic storage tank will cause the pressure of the cryogenic storage tank to be too high.

The planning and manufacture of cryogenic liquid storage tanks can be considered from three aspects:
The inner and outer bladder structures are planned to reduce conduction.
The interlayer is evacuated to a state of descending convection.
The interlayer is filled with thermal insulation material to reduce radiation.

Anything that has been used for a long time will generate a certain pressure, so it is the same when the pressure is too high during the operation of the cryogenic storage tank. Before filling the low temperature storage tank with objects, check whether the shell is dented and whether the vacuum exhaust port is in good condition. If it is damaged, the vacuum degree will decrease. In severe cases, the intake air cannot be kept warm, so that the upper part of the tank will be frosted, the liquid loss will be large, and the value of continuous use will be lost. Secondly, check the inside of the tank. If there is a foreign body, it is necessary to take it out to prevent the liner from being corroded.
