Use and maintenance of liquid oxygen storage tank

Use and maintenance of liquid oxygen storage tank
1. The liquid oxygen storage tank is only used to contain liquid oxygen, and other liquids are not allowed;
2. Check whether the inside of the container is clean and dry before use;
3. Use a small amount of liquid oxygen to pre-cool before filling liquid oxygen;
4. When used for long-term storage, liquid oxygen needs to be replenished regularly, and the replenishment time should generally be when the remaining amount of liquid oxygen is one-third of the total capacity;
5. It is strictly forbidden to place objects on the container lid and seal the neck;
6. When putting in or taking out frozen items, try to make the opening of the tank as short as possible to reduce liquid oxygen consumption, and don’t lift the canister completely;
7. Take strict precautions against shocks and collisions;
8. It is strictly forbidden to use hard objects to remove the frost in the neck tube to avoid damage to the neck tube.
Transportation
1. When transporting the liquid oxygen storage tank, it can only be placed upright, not lying down. In order to prevent it from tipping over, it must be secured with a belt or other objects. In order to alleviate the impact, sponge or other soft cushion should be used as a bottom;
2. When transporting liquid oxygen, please use transport tanks (YDS-XB). Storage tanks are forbidden to be used as transport tanks.
Matters needing attention
1. Liquid oxygen is a kind of ultra-low temperature liquid (-196℃), if it is splashed on the skin, it will cause frostbite similar to burns, so special attention should be paid when filling and removing liquid oxygen;
2. No other plugs can be used to replace the special tank lids, let alone sealed plugs, so as to avoid the continuous evaporation of liquid oxygen and the increase of the formed oxygen pressure, which may cause damage to the container;
3. When checking the height of the liquid level in the container, use a practical plastic rod or a small solid wooden rod to insert it into the bottom and take it out after 5-10 seconds. The length of the frost is the height of the liquid level;
4. The room where liquid oxygen is stored for a long time should be ventilated and ventilated with windows open.
