According to a report by Hindustan, after the increase, the price of commercial LPG in Delhi is 2000.50 rupees per bottle, Mumbai is 1950 rupees, Kolkata is 2073.50 rupees, and Chennai is 2133 rupees. However, family consumers are relieved that the price of domestic LPG cylinders has not been raised. The price of 14.2 kg domestic non-subsidized cooking gas cylinders in Delhi and Mumbai is 899.50 rupees, Kolkata is 926 rupees, and Chennai is 915.50 rupees. On October 6, following the surge in international fuel prices, the price of cooking LPG was increased by 15 rupees per cylinder. PTI quoted oil company officials as reporting that both subsidized and non-subsidized LPG prices have risen.
Like gasoline and diesel prices, the price of LPG cylinders is determined by the state-owned petroleum marketing company. The government provides consumers with subsidies for domestic liquefied petroleum gas cylinders.
