The same volume of LNG vehicle storage tank can hold 2.5 times more natural gas than CNG gas storage cylinders. At present, large foreign LNG trucks can travel 1000-1500km with one refueling, which is very suitable for the use of long-distance transportation vehicles. A domestic 500-liter steel cylinder can travel about 400km in a row in urban areas, and can travel more than 700km in a row on an expressway.

Because of its liquid state, LNG is convenient for economical long-distance transportation (within a range of about 600KM), and the construction of LNG car filling stations is not restricted by the natural gas pipeline network. On land, lng gas station equipment manufacturers say that 20-50m3 (equivalent to 12,000-30,000Nm3 natural gas) car tankers are usually used to transport LNG, which is similar to transporting diesel to LNG car gas stations. Tankers need to be transported by train or ship. At sea, LNG ships as large as 120,000 to 130,000 m3 are usually used for long-distance transportation.

The density is very low, only about half of that of air, so a little leakage means evaporation and diffusion, while the blasting limit of LPG is 2.4% to 9.5%, the ignition point is 466 ℃, and the density after gasification is higher than that of air, it is not easy to evaporate after leakage, and gasoline is blasted The limit is 1.0% to 7.6%, the ignition point is 427°C, the diesel explosion limit is 0.5% to 4.1%, and the ignition point is 260°C. It can be seen that LNG cars are safer than LPG, gasoline and diesel cars.
